Teacher Profile: Mark Hatfield (M.Div.)
Mark Hatfield is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a graduate of Clemson University (B.S. Civil Engineering, 1983) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, 2011). He has been married to Cheryl Carmichael Hatfield since 1985 and is the grateful father of Kristen (b. 1987), Alicia (b. 1990), Jamie (b. 1992), and Philip (b. 1994). Mark and his brother John have operated a commercial general contracting business (Hatfield Builders, Inc.) since 1992. He currently serves as an elder of Grace Baptist Church of Taylors and instructs the Elementary Koine Greek for Reformed Baptist Seminary.
Mark’s love for Koine Greek began many years ago when his parents gave him a Greek-NIV Interlinear New Testament. He uses William Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek grammar and workbook and offers guidance and tutoring to RBS distance students, enabling them to complete the Greek proficiency exams for ET 501 and ET 502. RBS is happy to have Mark on its faculty.
