Raised a Free Will Baptist, I was brought up under the ministry of my father and grandfather. I eventually became the associate pastor in my grandfather’s church, and after his passing, was unexpectedly thrust into the role of lead pastor.

After graduating, we were married and worked for several years in a missions support role. While working in that role, we felt the Lord leading us to be more directly involved in seeing the nations (unreached languages) reached with the Truth.

I am originally from South Carolina and was raised with a Southern Baptist upbringing. However, I was not converted until late into my twenties.

At a time when I thought being Reformed Baptist meant certain false qualities, God used RBS to mold and shape my orthodoxy and orthopraxy.

I signed up for Historical Theology within the Marrow Program. What a blessing. I became painfully aware what little I knew about God and the Bible and Church history. I also realized that I wanted to share these wonderful learnings from great teachers and by the Holy Spirit who continues to open my eyes.

I’ve enjoyed every minute of study, from the reading to the lectures to the papers. These classes have equipped me to better love Christ and share him with my family, my church, and my counselees in a richer and more meaningful way. I’m thankful for my time at RBS.
