A Lecture on "Creation & Covenant"

In this lecture Dr Bob Gonzales seeks to demonstrate that the creation accounts of Genesis 1 and 2 introduce us to the central theme(s) of the Bible, namely, God's kingdom and his special presence. This they do through several royal and cultic motifs that depict the creation as God's temple-palace into which he places his vice-regent (humanity) in order to represent and extend God's mediatorial rule and glory over the earth within the context of a divine-human covenant. The creation covenant, which serves as the administrative tool of God's kingdom, becomes the paradigm for the future divine-human covenants that occur throughout redemptive history.
