Conversion

John was converted from Roman Catholicism at nineteen years of age. He had been searching for answers in his Catholic High School, and began to read the Bible. When he enrolled as a music student at Montclair State College in NJ he was blessed to meet evangelical Christians who invited him to church services where he eventually became assured that he was saved by the grace of God through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ.

Family

John met Wendy, a student at Northeastern Bible College, and hoped that someday she would be his wife. God answered that prayer, and they were married in June 1977. Wendy taught kindergarten in a Christian school and John worked in his father’s wood shop for two years. John was convinced during those years that he should have more training, and so they moved to Pennsylvanian, where he could attend seminary. God has blessed them with two daughters and three sons, and eleven grandchildren. All five of their children are happily married. John and Wendy have twelve grandchildren.

Hobbies

John has always had woodwork as his main hobby, though now it is his post-pastoring job. John is also working on learning the piano (he was a percussion major in college). His other big hobby is model O-gauge electric trains, which his father loved and passed on to his two sons. I maintain a large layout at home. Reading theological and devotional books has also now become one of his hobbies.

Current Ministry Position
