/Nick teaches on the Doctrine of Scripture.
Conversion
Nick was raised in a Christian family that were active in an Evangelical church. By grace, he never knew a time when he did not know the essentials of the gospel of Jesus Christ—that he is a sinner, but there is forgiveness because of the cross of Christ.
After a period of spiritual doubting and drift in his teen years, the Lord was pleased to deeply strengthen Nick's faith as he was introduced to the gospel clarity of the Reformed tradition.
Family
Nick and Shelby have been married for over 20 years and have three teenage children.

Pastor of King's Cross Church in Kirkland, WA (Formerly Juanita Community Church).
Hobbies
Nick enjoys writing, long distance running, making (and eating) homemade pizza, restoring classic cars, and engaging all things outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
Church Ministry
Pastor; serving as the church's lead preacher and providing shepherding care to the congregation.
Ministry Experience
Nick began in ministry as a church planter in Bremerton, WA, while also working as a General Contractor, from 2007–2012. From 2013–2018, he served at Grace Baptist Church of Taylors, SC, eventually becoming one of the primary preaching pastors. He was a lay elder at Olympic Evangelical Free Church in Poulsbo, WA, from 2021 until accepting a call to serve as pastor of King's Cross Church in 2023.
Education
Nick holds a Master of Theological Studies from Reformed Baptist Seminary.

Nick is the author of the books Doxology: How Worship Works (Free Grace Press, 2017) and Further Up and Further In: Experiencing the Inexhaustible Gospel of Jesus Christ (Marrow Press, 2023), the co-author (with Nicholas Kennicott) of In Praise of Old Guys (Wrath & Grace Press, 2018), and a contributor to The Confessing Baptist: Essays on the Use of Creeds in Baptist Faith and Life (Ed. Dr. Robert Gonzales, Free Grace Press, 2022).
Teaching Experience
Nick developed and formerly taught Research & Writing 101 for Reformed Baptist Seminary, and served as a guest lecturer in Systematic Theology. He taught Doctrine of the Word and The Pastoral Epistles internationally in a pastoral training partnership between RBS and HeartCry Missionary Society.
Research Interests
Nick is passionate about the centrality, clarity, and supremacy of the gospel. He is currently working on writing projects related to the application of historic hymns to the practical Christian life and an introduction to Reformed Baptist history, doctrine, and discipleship.
