Conversion

Tom was raised by a godly mother and a father, who dealt with many trials as the son of a Muslim immigrant who was murdered before his dad's eyes when he was only 10 years old. Despite his personal struggles and the difficulties those created for Tom’s family, Tom and all of his 5 older siblings came to faith in Christ while they were young. Tom was about 9 years old when God convicted him of his sin and of Jesus' ability and willingness to save Tom by His life, death and resurrection. Tom confessed his sin and entrusted himself to Christ as Lord. He grew up in the same Southern Baptist Church and was taught to love and respect the Bible as God's Word. At 15, he sensed the Lord calling him to gospel ministry. This was confirmed by the church, and he began to preach at age 16.
