Graduate Profile: Dana Wiles (MABS)
/My name is Dana E. Wiles, Jr., and I’ve had the privilege of studying at RBS for the past few years. I initially earned a Master of Theological Studies with an emphasis in Exegetical Theology. I continued my education at RBS by working toward a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. During my time as a student at RBS, the Lord has graciously used my studies to further conform me into Christ’s image and equip me to be a better shepherd and servant in Christ’s church.
I was born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania and still reside there with my wife Rachel and our two daughters, Delilah Jane and Lucy Grace. Through the gospel witness of a dear friend, God saved me by sovereign grace through faith in his Son nineteen years ago when I was 20 years old. I was baptized a couple of months later and discipled by the pastor of a local Baptist church.
As I grew in the grace and knowledge of Christ, I had a strong desire to know and study God’s word and an aspiration to teach, preach, and shepherd God’s people. During that season of life, I got married and served in a variety of roles in the local church. I then began preparing for ministry by earning a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University.
The pastor of the church I belonged to at the time desired to plant a church in the surrounding community to reach more people with the gospel. The congregation called me to lead that work and subsequently sent me out with a group of fellow believers to plant Redeeming Grace Fellowship in October 2013.
In 2019, the Lord led Redeeming Grace Fellowship to merge with Covenant Baptist Church of Uniontown, where I currently serve as a full-time pastor alongside the other elders. I have the privilege of serving as the primary preaching pastor for the congregation, and I work with the other elders as we shepherd the flock, teach God’s word, and lead them in worship together. One of my fellow elders has served as my mentor and proctor during my studies at RBS. Another one of my fellow elders has also graduated from RBS.
I’m grateful to God for leading me to RBS, and I pray that He blesses the faculty and staff as they continue equipping ministers of the gospel and making disciples for the glory of Christ.
