I am grateful to God, to my wife, to my church, and to Reformed Baptist Seminary in completing my Master of Theological Studies degree.
I came to faith in Christ in 2004. That year, while in the process of converting to Judaism, Christ grabbed hold of my heart and life. Fairly immediately, serving Him became all I wanted to do, and I abandoned my career plans at that time to pursue ministry. In 2009, I began attending Cornerstone Seminary in Vallejo with the enthusiastic support of my local church (River City Grace Community Church in Sacramento, CA). Concurrently, I was ministering at River City Grace, teaching Adult Sunday School and co-leading the Youth Ministry. Unfortunately, my work (for the State of California), coupled with the state’s then-budget crisis, forced me to put seminary on hold for a time. In 2019, I was finally able to resume my studies, this time through Reformed Baptist Seminary and with the support of Veritas Church in Roseville, CA.
I am deeply appreciative of the seminary’s flexibility, the leadership of Dr. Gonzales, and the excellent instruction I have received. The seminary’s structure has allowed me to attend classes and study in a way that balances work, ministry, and family life. I would never have been able to resume my studies without a seminary like RBS.
Now, with full-time pastoral ministry fully in view, I am thrilled to be able to pursue my MDiv at the seminary as well. I want to thank all the pastors and professors at the seminary who have dedicated hours lecturing, grading papers, and providing guidance to me over these past two years (1 Thessalonians 5:12)
