My name is Khris Dedeaux. I live in Gulfport, Mississippi with my beautiful wife and our two boys. I work full time as an automotive repair technician. My family and I are members of Covenant of Peace Church.
I grew up in a broken home. My father was never around and was incarcerated for most of my childhood years. My mother married another man, but they divorced after a few years. Although I had no communication with my father, I was following in his footsteps. I was convicted of felony burglary at age 17. My second felony, drug possession, sent me to prison for 3 years at age 21.
While incarcerated, I read the Bible for the first time. The Lord had mercy upon me and caused the light of Jesus Christ to shine in my heart. I continued to study the Bible and other books until I was released. Upon release, I was baptized at a Fundamentalist Baptist Church.
As I studied and meditated upon the Word of God, I found myself wanting to teach and preach the Gospel. I eventually developed a better understanding of the doctrines of grace and became a member of a Reformed Baptist Church. The Lord used the elders at this church to mold and motivate me. Through much prayer and counsel, I enrolled in RBS to further my studies for future pastoral ministry.
RBS has been a blessing. I’ve been able to learn from wise men of God while remaining active in church. The wealth of knowledge from the professors has equipped me to continue learning in my own personal studies. They exposed me to many areas of study, while upholding a solid view of the inspiration of Scripture. I highly recommend RBS to anyone who is interested in furthering their knowledge of the Lord and his Word.
I couldn’t have completed my studies without the help and support of wife, Kayla. I’d like to thank Joe Tolin Jr., Blair Bradley, and Reese Web for the prayer, counsel, and inspiration they have provided for me. I look forward to serving the Lord as he provides the opportunities.
