Video Uploader Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026. This policy covers Reformed Baptist Seminary’s private Drive to YouTube Batch Uploader.

Google data we access

With the operator’s authorization, the app reads Google Drive file and folder metadata and the content of selected videos. It reads the connected YouTube channel and playlists, uploads selected videos, and applies the video metadata, visibility, thumbnails, and playlist choices reviewed by the operator. The Google permissions granted to the app can be broader than the individual files selected in a batch; the app uses them for these transfer and organization functions.

Use and storage

Video data passes through a private Google Cloud worker in small buffers to YouTube. The app does not keep a complete local video copy as part of this transfer. Its server stores Google authorization tokens, resumable upload sessions, file metadata, publishing settings, selected thumbnails, channel and video identifiers, progress, and operational history to run and recover batches and avoid duplicate uploads. App administrators can access this server-held data. Google processes data under its own policies.

Credentials and saved upload-session URLs stay on the server and are not included in normal browser status responses. Operational records and thumbnails remain until an administrator removes them; the app currently has no automatic retention cutoff. Completed videos remain in the destination YouTube account under the visibility selected by the operator.

Sharing and limited use

The app sends selected video content and metadata to Google Drive, Google Cloud, and YouTube as needed to perform the requested transfer. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, profiling, or training general-purpose AI models. The app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Your controls

Operators can pause or cancel queued work. You can revoke the app’s Google access through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further authorized API access but does not itself remove existing app records or uploaded videos. For deletion of server-held app data or privacy questions, contact vchepurny@rbs.org. Uploaded videos can be managed or deleted in YouTube Studio; deleting app records does not delete source Drive files or YouTube videos.
