Graduate Profile: Daniel Titus

When I was three years old, my teacher sent me home from preschool with a note to my parents. It read, “Today, Daniel said, ‘When I grow up, I’m going to be a preacher.’”

I took a winding path to this place. I jumped into ministry with no training and thought I missed my calling. I then served for years as a church member, a deacon, and a lay elder, uninterested in vocational ministry. The Lord arrested my attention several years ago, and I proposed that if I was going to go into full-time ministry after all, I would prepare myself and my family as best as I could.

RBS and my local church provided that preparation.

In the Lord's timing, just as I was beginning my final semester of the Master of Divinity program, I accepted a call to pastor at a Reformed Baptist Church in Auburn, AL. Thanks to hours of studying materials, searching the Scriptures, and listening to guidance from my professors and pastors, I am excited to enter into this new area of following the Lord.

By his grace, in heaven I will be able to say, “See, Mrs. Smith. I did become a preacher when I grew up.”
