Graduate Profile: Gregory Nichols, Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

Greg Nichols was born in 1948 in Paterson, NJ. God saved him from a life of gross wickedness in 1971. He graduated from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida in 1973 with a BS in chemical engineering. He worked for four years as a chemical engineer. In 1977 he entered Trinity Ministerial Academy (TMA), Montville, New Jersey and married Ginger Barker of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He was ordained to the Christian ministry in 1978. When he completed his studies at TMA in 1980, he became a pastor of Trinity Baptist church, where he served until 1992. During this time he also taught Greek courses, systematic theology courses, and exegesis courses at TMA. In 1992 the Nichols moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1992 and 1993 Greg commuted to TMA to teach. In 1994 he was ordained by the congregation in Grand Rapids that is now Grace Immanuel RBC, where he continues to serve as a pastor. Greg and Ginger have five children, four daughters and a son, and two grandchildren. 

Greg's Masters thesis for Reformed Baptist seminary is entitled, "The Christian Covenantal Economy: The Messianic and New Covenants." The substance of that thesis is included in Greg's recently published Covenant Theology: A Reformed and Baptistic Perspective on God's Covenants. Pastor Nichols also serves as one of the primary professors of systematic theology for Reformed Baptist Seminary.
