I was raised in Beaver Springs, PA where I attended an evangelistic, Biblically-based church, but wasn’t truly born-again until later. It wasn’t until my senior year in college that the Lord began drawing me unto Himself. After graduation, I moved to Kutztown, PA where I met my wife, Jennifer. Shortly after Jennifer’s witness to me, the Lord saved me and radically changed my life. I served in various roles at Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown, PA for several years before attending Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church in Bethlehem, PA.

On the week of September 29 - October 3, Grace Baptist Church of Taylors will host RBS's seminar on the Book of Hebrews. Pastor Robert Martin (PhD) will provide an exegetical and biblical-theological survey of the epistle with emphasis not only on its major themes and difficult passages but also on the rabbinical method of exposition used by the author. The grand theme, of course, is the supremacy of Christ in the saving work of God. The Real Story at Mount Sinai

Last night one of our seminary students, Oskar Arocha, gave a overview of his master’s thesis, “The Real Story at Mount Sinai: An Exegetical Interpretation of the Narrative of Exodus 19–24,” in Spanish (“La verdadera historia en el Monte Sinaí”). Oskar wrote this thesis to complete his requirements for the Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree. The objective of his study is to highlight the unbelief and disobedience of Israel at the foot of Sinai. Rather than assuming the role of a “kingdom of priests” by means of an obedient faith, Israel becomes a “kingdom with priests” on account of their disobedience. Creeds & Confessions: Five-Day Seminar

Reformed Baptist Seminary is offering a three-credit course on symbolics entitled "Creeds & Confessions." Michael Haykin (PhD) and Tom Nettles (PhD) will lecture on the history of creeds and confessions with a special focus on the origins, composition, and legacy of the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. Bob Gonzales (PhD) will address the biblical basis for creeds and provide an exposition of the Confession's doctrine of Scripture. Pascal Denault (ThM) will lecture on the covenant theology of the Confession. Finally, Tom Ascol (PhD) will expound the Confession's chapters on the gospel and on the church as well as discuss some pastoral issues related to the use of confessions and catechisms in the church's life and ministry.
