Instructor Profile: Ryan Bush

Ryan Bush teaches Introduction to Missions

Conversion

Ryan was raised in an agnostic household. There was a vague sense of the existence of God, but He was never spoken about. The Bible was never opened.

In his teenage years, Ryan sought to obtain some sort of joy and peace through partaking of the allurements of the world. These, of course, left him empty, broken, and anguished. He piled sin on top of sin and found himself entangled in a web of deception and guilt.

When Ryan was 17 years old a friend from his High School invited Ryan to attend the youth group meetings of his church. After his first visit, a strange desire to go to church grew in him and he became a regular and committed participant in the youth group and Sunday morning services. After several months, he attended a youth conference and there understood the gospel for the first time. The Lord called Ryan to Himself on February 7, 1998 in Tulsa, OK. Ryan was baptized several months later and became a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church in Lamar, Arkansas.

Since then, Ryan has clung to Christ and grown in faith and wisdom. A couple of years after his conversion, the Lord called Ryan to missions, in which he has labored for the past 25 years.
